| It's 70's Week at Chicago Football Chili THIS WEEK'S MATCH-UP From Sunday, November 30th |
| This is Carlton, your doorman. And this week, the time machine goes back 30 years. No, we're not bringing back Bob Avellini. But we have a couple of friends from the 70s with themed chilis to help you with that leftover turkey. |
Okay, everybody drink! No, no. We're not playing the Bob Game (yet). But Chicago-based psychiatrist Bob Hartley, the hero of "The Bob Newhart Show", might be a bit perplexed by all the attention anyway. But don't worry Bob, this is not just a dream. This is a way to really spice up your leftover turkey. We take the flavors of the Moo Goo Gai Pan that Bob so desperately wants at Thanksgiving, and we ramp up the heat with our chili ways. It's bound to make Howard come over for dinner, but don't let that stop you. Cuz this is a sweet heat that would bring big-time smiles to his entire therapy group. Well, maybe not Elliot Carlin. -- CLICK HERE FOR THE RECIPE -- |
Love is all around, even in Minneapolis where Mary Richards of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" works at WJM-TV. Yes, that is a replica Fran Tarkenton jersey she's wearing in the opening credits. She may have been a Fran-o-phile, but we're sure the Hall of Famer would have found an excuse to get out of one of Mary's dinner parties. Even with help from "Happy Homemaker" Sue Ann Nivens, Mary can't salvage a party around her limited veal. Well, here at CFC, we think a gobbler works better with the season, and we've made a creamy, rich Turkey Prince Orloff chili to prove it. It's so good, you might just make it after all! -- CLICK HERE FOR THE RECIPE -- |
